John Looze was born on October 14, 1911, in Chicago, Illinois. He was admitted to the bar in 1941 after graduating from Northwestern University and then DePaul University with his L.L.D. degree. He was Master in Chancery in the Circuit Court of McHenry County from 1955 until 1957; City Attorney for McHenry from 1948 until 1973; chairman of the McHenry County Zoning Board of Appeals from 1956 until 1965; President of the McHenry County Bar Association from 1953 until 1954; Member of the Illinois State Bar Association Subcommittee on Zoning Laws from 1958 until 1977. John Looze first practiced law in Crystal Lake before moving to the Kent Building on Riverside Dr. in McHenry with his partner, Harry Kinne. The firm of Looze and Kinne was one of the most prestigious and longstanding partnerships practicing law in McHenry County. In 1956 the firm moved to the Dr. Nye building on Elm St., in McHenry where the office is still located. Samuel J. Diamond joined the long established firm of Looze & Kinne in 1972. Samuel J. Diamond founded his own firm in 1978 with John Looze. In 1981, David C. LeSueur joined the firm. Over the last 40+ years the firm of Diamond & LeSueur has evolved into a four attorney general civil practice firm. The firm's extensive experience in general practice makes it uniquely qualified to advise its clients on all matters.
